5 & 6 Year Olds

During term 1 2016 we're working on the "World" Create-a-Challenge badge, and our Discover-a-Challenge badges.  The world is a big place, and we're learning all about it, including Guiding around the world.  Here are some of our activities for the term:

  • Games with a giant inflatable globe

  • Learning international Guiding songs

  • Learning greetings in other languages

  • Finding out about Girl Guides in other countries

  • Thinking Day party

7 & 8 Year Olds

This term "go climb a tree" is our motto!  We're working on the "Trees" Create-a-Challenge badge, and our Discover-a-Challenge badges. Here's what we're doing:

  • Climbing trees, drawing trees, and growing trees

  • Comapss games and activities

  • Enjoying tiny s'mores

  • Preparing for a sleepover

  • Lots of games

  • Thinking Day party

9-11 Year Olds

This term we're working on our Junior BP Award and our Discover-a-Challenge badges.  Our activities include:

  • Learning how to make our beds

  • Playing games

  • Cooking

  • Secret codes

  • Origami

  • Campfire night

  • Thinking Day party

12-13 Year Olds

This term we're getting started on the Promise & Law section of our BP Award.  We're also working on our Discover-a-Challenge badges.  Some of the things we're doing this term are:

  • Learning about Guiding History

  • Having a debate about healthy eating

  • Planning a unit hike

  • Having a Guides' Own

  • Pamper night

  • Inviting a special guest to talk to us about girls' health issues

  • Thinking Day party

14-17 Year Olds

Our activities this term include:

  • Cooking

  • Building furniture

  • Learning a new craft (quilling)

  • Investigating yoga

  • Researching the history of Australian Girl Guide badges

  • Thinking Day party

  • Clean Up Australia 

  • Anzac sleepover

  • Stand at the Mount Barker Show

We're planning lots of camps and sleepovers this year.

  • 40 Hour Famine Camp (19-21 August)

  • Badgework Camp (30 Sept to 3 October)

  • Fun Sleepover (19-20 November)

  • Holiday Camp (18-22 December)
